RENEWABLE ENERGY

Solar Panels

Installing solar panels lets you use free, renewable, clean electricity to power your home (or business).

This is due to the panels capturing the sun’s energy and converting the light into electricity (using the photovoltaic effect) and, if not used, can be safely stored in a battery which is then ready use or can be sold back to the energy grid.

There are a wide range of options that can be discussed to suit your requirements.

Please see below for the process on installation solar panels:

1. Contacting us

After filling out our online contact form, we will get in touch to help you decide the best solar options for you. We would then look to undertake a survey at your home and discuss these options with you.

2. Quotation / arranging your solar installation

Following the survey, a quotation would then be provided to you. If you are happy with the quotation (which would include but not limited to; your panels, inverter, new consumer unit and storage batteries), we would then get in contact to arrange installation and discuss the next steps.

3. Scaffolding

Installing panels on the roof would require scaffolding which we would also be able to arrange. Once the scaffolding is erected, our installers would proceed with the installation of your panels.

4. Inverter

Following successful installation of the panels, the inverter is installed and connected to the storage battery. The inverter coverts your direct current (DC) from the panels to an alternating current (AC) which is the electricity used in your home.

5. Connect the system to the existing electricity

Once steps 1-4 have been completed, your electricity is connected to the new consumer unit which will be connected to your existing home or business fuse box.

6. Home / business electricity management and control

Following successful installation of your system, you will be able to control your renewable energy usage from your Smart Phone or any Smart Device. This will enable you to monitor statistics such as how much electricity your system has produced and will also allow you to manage and control the distribution of your renewable and clean electricity.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging

If you have recently bought an Electric Vehicle (EV) or you are thinking about buying one in the near future, AYS Solutions Limited can supply and install EV charging units at your home or business premises.

The EV Charger(s) can either be single phase or 3 phase, depending on your requirements.

Incorporating an at home EV charger generally uses a single-phase charger, which can provide around 7kW per hour as opposed to utilising your existing home supply which would provide less kWs per hour.

An added benefit of installing a dedicated at home EV charger means that you charge your vehicle faster and would therefore enable a full battery charge overnight*, which is unlikely to be achieved using the existing home supply.

Installation of EV Chargers at business premises generally use a 3 phase charger however you could, depending on your requirements, also look to install a single phase charger.

* a full charge does also depend on your vehicle’s battery capacity.

Smart Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers

As technology has advanced, you can now control your Electric Vehicle (EV) charger through Wi-Fi / Smart connectivity via your Smart Phone or Smart Device.

If you have also installed Solar Panels, you would be able to use your stored renewable energy to power your EV charger. Using a Smart EV Charger would enable you to control your options at a time convenient for you / your company.

AYS Solutions Limited are an approved, certified and insured installation company.
